02.21

Undiscovered artists used to be a challenge to find. If not going to concerts where independent artists play, you need to visit the establishments they frequently play at. Now, in the comfort of your own home, you can find music from independent and undiscovered talent.

Just like you do a search for other things you need online, you also do a search for amazing music. The best sites will be the ones listed on the first page of search engine results but there’s nothing to stop you from considering all your options with music sites.

When you find a great source for independent music, you can work with the same pattern you started when you were looking for a music site. Type the genre of music you like or if you have an artist in mind, type in their band name. When you hit the enter button, you’ll have a long list of music from undiscovered artists.

Think About Acoustic Guitar Playing Styles

2012
02.13

AJMM Instructional Guitar DVD SeriesStudents about to learn acoustic guitar should be aware of the various playing styles available. The most common approach by teachers is to install the basics of finger positioning, plucking and strumming before moving on to more advanced styles. These can range from rock guitar, which can be combined or adapted with electric guitars, to classical and jazz guitar approaches. Rock guitar is typically the most common, and involves more work on acoustic chords and providing backing rhythm. Students might wish to end rock guitar lessons earlier, in order to focus on beginning their own band or solo project with the knowledge that they have the basic techniques in hand. By contrast, learning classical guitar is more difficult, and puts more emphasis on understanding musical theory and being able to produce complex finger picking combinations. Jazz guitar is usually recommended for advanced students, as it puts more pressure on improvisation and a sophisticated understanding of how the guitar can add to and complicate a broader musical piece.

Making Those Real Good Beats

girl and her Hip Hop: Music: Kanye West I am in love with hip hop music and also many other types of music which involves beats. I have been like this ever since my father took me to my first musical concert because that time was really what made me love music from the bottom of my heart. I just loved the idea of music being made with a combination of sounds. Most recently though I wanted to also try making my own beats so that I could eventually make myself a song. It was hard to find something that could do that for me but, after reading some DUB Turbo reviews I feel I have found what I have been looking for. You see with this I will be able to make some real good beats which I think would be perfect for my future song. All in all, I hope to make a lot of good beats now.

Help Your Studies Along with an Audio Book

When you are studying you will usually have to take a language as well. And in any language course there is bound to be a set book or two that has to be read. However, in between all the studying you might find it a bit difficult to find the time to read the set work. Watching the relevant movie will also not always work, since the movie is often not true to the book. There is an easier way to keep up with all the reading material that you have covered though – audio books. This way you can listen to the book being read aloud, without any concern that the actual material has been altered, edited or shortened. It is also a great way to revise a book just before your exams or while you are busy with a related assignment, just to refresh your memory – especially if your language was a year subject.
