Levaquin is an antibiotic drug that is available in capsules and tablets of 250g, 500g and 750g.It is also available as an oral liquid of 20mg/ml and for intravenous administration. It acts on positive and negative gram bacteria and thus stopping their multiplication. Levaquin Side Effects do not occur to all the patients taking it. Some patients develop minor or major side effects while some do not develop any.

Minor Levaquin side effects include; sore throat, fever, dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea, head ache, nausea, vomiting and constipation.

Major side effects include; rupture of tendons, severe dizziness, seizures ,hallucinations, over excitement, rashes, quivering, restlessness, itching, very rapid heart beat, hepatitis, reddening of the skin, bloody diarrhea, nightmares, sleeping difficulties, less or no urination, upper abdominal pain, severe weakness ,loss of appetite, clay colored stools, anxiety, depression and sudden change in behavior.

To avoid more complications in the affected body systems and parts, one should seek immediate medical attention as soon as the major side effects occur. All unbearable Levaquin side effects should also be reported to a physician or a healthcare provider.
