The world is swiftly changing, and so do our needs! Today I was browsing the internet, looking for a tablet for a friend of mine, but then I remembered about the Ebook Readers. Those little guys should be able to get the job done, right? So what should I pick between a cool android tablet and a very affordable Ebook Reader?

Well, let’s take a look at the EBook reader, shall we? These little guys use E-Ink technology display screens but unfortunately are monochrome. So if you’re looking for something to bring a little bit of color into your life, an ebook reader wouldn’t really be the perfect choice. On the other hand, they do have a very long battery life and they can last weeks! Fancy that, using it for weeks without ever needing to recharge it!

Ebook readers are also extremely portable and light, weighing in at around 8 ounces and perhaps the best part about them is the fact that they’re very affordable. Of course, there’s a drawback to this, in the sense that you can’t play video on them and they pretty much suck when it comes to web browsing.

Then the tablet comes into the picture! These little babies have LCD back lit, color display screens but unfortunately have a shorter battery life of only hours. The back lit display screen is a double edge sword in the sense that it will provoke eye strain after prolonged use.

These tablets are excellent for web browsing and great at playing back videos. They are a little bit heavier and a little bit pricier, but they’re definitely worth it. From my point of view, tablets win this one hands down!
